NEWS: Use it or lose it? It could be crunch time for High Royds Residents’ Association.

Do you want to have a say on the future management of High Royds?

HRRA will be holding its AGM at St Mary’s School on Thursday April 28 at 7.30pm.

We are now at a critical period as involvement in HRRA has tailed off in recent months and it appears that interest has waned.

HRRA strives to ensure Avant completes all the work that needs doing around High Royds. And now for the first time, we have the opportunity of being involved, on behalf of the community, in budget discussions for communal charges with Trinity Estates.

But this opportunity will be lost unless we maintain an active Residents’ Association and nominate representatives to meet and discuss issues of concern with Trinity.

As we have had no formal nominations for the “Officer” roles – and as we have members retiring – we need to consider the future of HRRA at the AGM.

The risk is that if HRRA does not continue we will lose the opportunity for all those who choose to live on High Royds to influence how the estate is managed.

An agenda for the AGM will be issued later this week.

Please join us so we can agree how best to proceed or to wind up the association.
