UPDATE: Change of date for residents’ association AGM and call for nominations

High Royds Residents’ Association has had to change the date of its annual general meeting. The AGM will now be held on Thursday April 28. The event, at St Mary’s School, starts at 7.30pm.

Residents from throughout the High Royds estate are welcome to attend – and are also encouraged to get involved with the association. We are looking for nominations for the committee and ‘officer’ roles. Some members are retiring and our Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinator has moved away. We’re therefore hoping additional residents will be willing to help.

Formal roles are Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer, and we’re also looking for someone to take over the Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinator’s role and to join the committee.

If you are interested, please email: hrra@highroyds.org.uk

HRRA is only effective if it has a strong membership – working for residents and liaising with Avant Homes and Trinity Estates. PLEASE NOTE: Trinity Estates, which now manages the wider estate and many of the residential blocks, has indicated that it will recognise HRRA and will involve two nominated representatives in future budget reviews and discussions. This will be an opportunity to influence Trinity on how the High Royds estate – you pay for – is managed in the future.
